Hey there, mamas! We’re so excited to welcome you to the Hem + Co Clothing blog, where style meets the fun and playfulness of childhood. We’re Melissa and Teaaira, the moms behind this boutique—and we can’t wait to share more about our journey, our inspiration, and of course, our modern and comfortable clothing for your little ones!
Hem + Co Clothing is truly a labor of love, named after our daughters: Hadley, Emilia, Madelyn, and Charlotte (hence the “Hem + C” in Hem + Co!). We became friends while shopping for our girls on Facebook BST boards, and soon realized we wanted to bring our vision of stylish, comfy clothes to life. As fellow moms, we know how important it is to dress our kids in outfits that are not only adorable but also functional for everyday wear.
A Women-Owned, Family-Run Business
One thing we’re especially proud of is that Hem + Co is women-owned and family-run. As two pilot wives who often solo parent, we wanted to create something meaningful for ourselves while our husbands traveled. Both of our families have been integral in supporting us through this journey—our husbands are great at giving advice, and our kids are always eager to model our clothes and help where they can with packages or even design ideas!

What really makes Hem + Co special is the love and care we put into every aspect of the business. This isn’t just about selling clothes—it’s about creating something that our families can be proud of. From picking fabrics to packing your orders, we (and our families) pour our hearts into it. And let’s not forget our biggest “hype girls”—our daughters—who are always racing to grab the latest Hem + Co package and show off their favorite outfits!
