Thanksgiving Crafts Your Little Ones Will Love!
Hey mamas! Now that spooky season is over and Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than with fun, meaningful activities that your kiddos will love? Here at Hem + Co, we’re all about family, gratitude, and creating beautiful moments together. We’ve rounded up three easy, Thanksgiving-themed crafts that are perfect for young children and will fill your home with festive cheer! Plus, keep an eye out for one of our girls rocking Blushing Pumpkins as they get creative with these activities.
1. Thankful Turkey Craft

This activity is a family favorite in our home! It’s a great way to encourage your little ones to reflect on what they’re thankful for this holiday season.
Here’s how it works:
- Create a cute turkey out of construction paper or cardboard
- Cut out enough feathers for the month or week leading up to Thanksgiving (alternate idea: cut out one feather for each person at your Thanksgiving dinner and make a "family turkey")

- Each day leading up to Thanksgiving, add a feather to the turkey. On each feather, write something your child is grateful for. By Thanksgiving, you'll have a turkey full of gratitude!

Not only is this craft easy to set up, but it also helps start conversations with your children about gratitude. You can even get the whole family involved—everyone can add their own feathers! E loved this one, and we snapped some sweet photos of her adding on feathers while wearing the Blushing Pumpkins dress.
2. Handprint Turkey Placemats
Get ready for some adorable keepsakes! For this craft, your child will trace their hand on a piece of paper and transform it into a colorful turkey with markers, paint, or crayons. Bonus: You can laminate these for reusable Thanksgiving placemats!
What you’ll need:
- Paper or cardstock
- Crayons, markers, or paint
- Laminate sheets (optional)

This is such a cute way to capture your child’s handprint during the holidays, and the kids will love setting the table with their own personalized placemats.
3. Pumpkin Seed Mosaic Art
Let’s get those little hands moving with some pumpkin seed mosaic art! After carving your pumpkins (or scooping out seeds from your favorite fall squash), save the seeds for a fun, textured craft. Kids can use the seeds to create a mosaic on a piece of cardboard or construction paper, designing anything from pumpkins to turkeys—or even abstract patterns!
What you’ll need:
• Pumpkin or squash seeds (clean and dried)
• Glue
• Cardboard or construction paper
• Paint or markers (optional for coloring the seeds)

Your kiddos can arrange the seeds into shapes and patterns, gluing them down to create their unique masterpiece. You can even let them paint the seeds beforehand for some extra colorful fun! This adds a creative, tactile activity that doesn’t involve daily writing but still captures the fun of the season.
We hope these activities bring joy and togetherness to your family this season. We’re so thankful for each and every one of you who’s been a part of our journey with Hem + Co. From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!
